More than Enough

October 1, 2025

Chasing success can often feel like a race to fill a void. This chase in life, career, business, and ministry can make us operate from a mindset of fear that there is not enough time, opportunity, recognition, or blessing to go around. This scarcity mindset breeds anxiety and competition, causing us to clutch tightly to what we have and view others with suspicion.

But what if you could shift your perspective? What if, instead of chasing the success to guarantee “enough” for yourself, you start from the revolutionary belief that you already are, and already have, “More than Enough”?

This can sound like a call to arrogance, but far from that, it is a call to anchor yourself in a spiritual truth. It is about aligning your thoughts and actions with the reality of God’s abundant provision. When you know that the source is limitless, your perspective on the journey transforms from striving desperately to being a confident steward.

The mindset of scarcity says, “I can’t give my time, money, or energy until I have more. I must protect the little I have.” The mindset of abundance says, “My giving is an act of faith that acknowledges God’s supply is limitless. I will sow seeds from what I have, not from what I hope to have.”

This week, look for an opportunity to give first. Offer your skill to someone without expecting anything in return. Give a financial gift that helps another person meet their need. Bless someone in your ministry with your time when your schedule is fullest. My mentor often says, “Many young people come to receive mentorship without necessarily being sensitive enough to seek out what and where they could add value to his life, except a few of us.” Relationships are secured and hands of fellowship are stretched and sustained when you learn you give, even when what you have is little. Remember the widow of Zarephath.

The mindset of scarcity operates with a view of Pareto Optimality, thinking that the win of others amounts to your loss. They fear that “The promotion, growing business and thriving ministry of another is a threat to my own.” The mindset of abundance says, “God’s kingdom and His resources are infinite. The victory of another is proof of God’s faithfulness and a testament to what is possible. I celebrate it, knowing that it paves the way for my own blessings, if I can learn what exactly to do to attain it.”

Be genuinely happy for people when they have a reason to celebrate. Abhor the dark wisdom of eye service in relationships. Promote a fellow business owner’s service. Rejoice when a sister ministry experiences growth. Your celebration is not just good manners; it is a spiritual act that aligns your heart with God’s generous nature and fosters that there is more than enough success to go around.

The mindset of scarcity says, “I can’t afford that. There are no good opportunities left.” The mindset of abundance says, “God is my provider. I am equipped for this task. Doors are opening for me.”

Audit your words and thoughts. Replace phrases of lack with declarations of faith and gratitude. Don’t go with the trend of celebrating lack and being broke with your words. Instead say, “God is my source, and I am wisely stewarding my finances.” Your words shape your reality.

Embrace this truth today. You are not an empty vessel begging to be filled. You are a conduit of divine abundance, designed completely for overflow. When you think and act from this place of abundance, success ceases to be something you chase and becomes something that flows through you.
