Years ago, I got a call from my mentor one afternoon. “Where are you?” He asked. I replied with my location, and he told me to go to a destination and said, “They just told me that one of our school buses caught fire while on the road taking children home from school.” News like this come with devastating effect. Think about this and imagine the experience of Job in the Bible as he got one sad news after another, on the same day.
Sometimes things can go from good to worse very fast. Sometimes we go through daunting situations that set the odds very high against us. The obstacles against us seem like mountains that we cannot wrap our heads around them. Our senses seem numb and we lose every motor response in our body. In a flash, we become pressed on all sides. Our backs to the wall. We are choked and faced by insurmountable obstacles.
It is not doom’s day yet. It’s just a normal day. Your experiences are just an indication that the answers you seek lie outside the box of struggles you are currently enclosed in. The situation demands you roll up your sleeve and reveal tricks you still have, if any.
This seemingly doom’s day situation is often a test of character, mindset, focus and people who genuinely want good for you. The solution often awaits you at the point where you realize that there are still possibilities to you, that you never considered. The help you need comes as you realize your need for support, and you rise up in humility to seek assistance.
It’s not yet doom’s day. It’s just another day for your purpose to be clarified, for the strength in your character to be revealed and your faith in the goodness that God and people possess, to be rewarded. Don’t lose hope just yet, it’s not doom’s day. Your situation has a solution. Enjoy everyday you live.
